BUE HOMESTEAD – NE 21-74-9-W6 – 2018, 2019 and 2020 Crop Years: If you’re a grain farmer in the LaGlace / Valhalla area of the County of Grande Prairie, this 3-year lease will be of interest to you. The perfect opportunity to add directly to your bottom line without any increased capital expenditure. A chance to add increased economies of scale to your existing farming operation. Think it is too far away to travel for one quarter? The Owner has two other quarters, in close proximity, that will be coming up for lease starting next year.
The quarter has 140 cultivated acres, and for the past eight years has been in a four-year brome seed cycle, with fallow in year 1, followed by seeding in year 2, and production in year 3 and 4 (2017). The quarter was disked with a heavy disk once, followed by 3 disking’s with a normal disk in the fall of 2017. No chemicals were applied to the land in 2017. The quarter is exceptionally well drained, making it ideal for peas or canola even in a wet year. The land has very few rocks. Organic matter is high, given past grass seed rotations.
The Bue Homestead will be offered for lease by way of CLHbid.com online timed auction, on March 9, 2018 at 2pm MST. Please check the www.CLHbid.com website for updates on details of auction, and to review the terms of lease you will be bidding on.
